In all honesty...

Well, someone asked me today when we are starting a blog again.

I think in today's day and age, everyone has a thirst for information. Sometimes, unquenchable. At times, I believe this can be a positive thing. At the touch of our fingertips, we can access long lost friends, answers to medical questions, and research things of importance in our lives. On the other hand, we also have access to the personal lives of many people. Unfortunately, a few blog posts, facebook stuff (never been on it so don't know what its called) or tweets will never be able to accurately portray those people's lives.

Recently, we had someone disparage the way we live our life. Our blog came up. We or at least I have realized that they received an inaccurate accounting of our lives from this blog. They assumed they knew how we should live our lives because of this. Not only that, but bitter feelings were displayed towards us. We have had an inkling of these feelings for over a year and even to some extent what those bitter feelings were associated with. In the course of our correspondence, they stated they would no longer read this blog.

Basically, they made me think about the content of our blog and what could be so offensive. And, I decided that the other party had a point, maybe not the one they thought but it made me think about media. Jordan had wanted to go private for a while. I however, have felt that the blog was a place where people/strangers even would see me bear testimony of Jesus Christ. I still feel that way. However, my urge as a mother and wife is that protecting my family from unrighteous judgement is more important at this time.

So, we chose to go private. We chose to leave this address here so that people that only seldom visit us can leave us their information. Then, we created a new blog and transferred all of the content to it. We are private on this separate blog. There are some individuals that have been granted access to this. At this time, we are not letting everyone read it. I feel strongly that this is right for our family. Jordan agrees with me, perhaps not for the exact some reasons but agrees just the same.

Frankly, I have no idea if any of this will make sense to anyone else. However, please do not be offended by our privatization. As I stated early, you only see a part of our lives and part of the reasons behind the decisions.

If you have left your email address on the post 2 down, we have received it. If you have not please continue to leave your email address so we can contact you if we do decide to open our other blog up to the public.

Going Silent

This blog is going silent for a while. Please continue to leave your email below and we will let you know when we have a place for you to read about our goings and comings.

Thanks

Going Private

We're going to take the blog private. I know that private blogs are a bit of a hassle for readers, but we think the right to privacy is important. Also, this blog has never been about having a large readership. It's always been about detailing the life of our family.

If you want to keep up with us, go here and submit your name and email address (because I think that's what we need). October 31st will be the last day for submissions.

Or just leave it in the comments, I've turned on comment moderation so it won't be seen by anyone else.
